Installation
Kshan runs as a native desktop app. macOS is the primary supported platform today; Windows and Linux builds are also available.
- Download the installer for your platform.
- Launch Kshan and sign in (or create an account) — you can pick your display language from the top-right of the sign-in screen before signing in.

list of languages is visible.

:::
- Complete the short setup wizard that appears on first sign-in.
- On macOS, grant Accessibility access when prompted (the first time the dashboard loads). This is what lets Kshan read the active window/app title — without it, Kshan can still track which app is focused, but not window titles or browser URLs.
- Kshan starts tracking automatically once setup is complete. You can pause tracking any time from the menu bar / system tray icon — see System Tray.
tip
You can enable Start at Login in Preferences so Kshan begins tracking as soon as you log in, without needing to open it manually. See General Preferences.
