Privacy & Do Not Track
Kshan automatically avoids logging sensitive activity — this runs by default, with no toggle needed to turn it on:
- Private browsing — incognito/private windows are detected by title (matching "incognito," "InPrivate," "private browsing," or "private window") and tracking stops immediately for them.
- Sensitive apps skipped by default — password managers and system settings apps: 1Password, Keychain Access, LastPass, Bitwarden, and macOS System Settings/Preferences.
- Sensitive domains skipped by default — banking/financial and account-login sites:
chase.com,paypal.com,bankofamerica.com,wellsfargo.com,accounts.google.com.
Do Not Track category
You can mark any app, website, or window-title rule as Do Not Track from Categories → Advanced Rules — anything matching it is discarded entirely, never stored, not even locally.
If you add a Do Not Track rule that matches activity Kshan already recorded, that historical data is deleted from local storage, not just hidden.

Pausing tracking
Pausing tracking from the menu bar / system tray stops all recording immediately, for as long as you like — useful for meetings or screen-sharing.
